| You are a successful small business owner and you KNOW
that, sooner rather than later, you need a presence on the Internet (perhaps your customers are
demanding it). Just because you're successful in business doesn't mean you have a clue about the
Internet . . . and you probably don't have the time or the inclination to learn |

| You decide to hire a web designer to do
it for you. Great, you can sit back and, eventually, you will have a top-notch web site. No!
It doesn't work like that! The more input you can provide to the web designer the better your
web site will be (after all, YOU know your business and clients better

your hard-earned profit to any project without at least a basic knowledge of what it involves |

| I have been involved with the Internet for the past
2 years. I created this web site from scratch (knowing nothing to start off with) and, in doing
so, made many mistakes, mostly by doing things back-to-front and getting them in the wrong
order |

| For example, how could I know that I should have
considered the search engines and directories when I chose my domain name of nailitnow.com.au?
I know NOW that, first, I should have chosen a name beginning with a, b or c as most
directories list sites in alphabetical order and, second, if you include your keyword
(eg, typing tutor) in your domain name, search engines give you a boost in their index |
